Week 11 hosted three exciting games. The Lake Raiders (7-3-0) vs. the Mustangs (3-5-2); the Wolves (2-5-3) vs. the Saints (3-7-0); and the Bulldogs (6-2-2) vs. the Kings (4-3-3).

Game 1 (Lake Raiders vs. Mustangs) saw the return of Lake Raiders leading scorer Jeremy Schofield and the weeks rest had him ready to play. Schofield scored 4 unassisted goals in the first frame with only a single response by the offensively depleted Mustangs (Nicole Neeson / Sergio Correia). Schofield’s momentum continued into the 2nd with two more unassisted markers for the Lake Raiders. Nicole Neeson added one more (unassisted) for the Mustangs. Period three had Nicole Neeson add another (unassisted) Mustangs marker to bring the score to 6-3 but it wasn’t enough. Two more tallies by the Lake Raiders (Erin Vassilakos from Schofield & Schofield from Joey Shek) rounded out the game. Final 8-3 Lake Raiders over Mustangs.

Game 2 (Wolves vs. Saints) saw the still slumping Saints struggle to find some offense and they started off on the right foot. The Saints’ Brandy Edwards open the scoring just past the 5-minute mark but the Wolves weren’t going to give up without a fight. Mid way through the first the Wolves’ Saverio Romano took a soft pass from Matt Vocino and tied things up at 1-1. Period two had the Wolves lead by Saverio Romano, who stepped things up a gear. Romano (unassisted) notched 3 unanswered goals and the Saints spirit was broken at 4-1. The third had the Saints add one more (Edwards / unassisted) but too little too late. Final 4-2 Wolves over Saints.

Game 3 (Bulldogs vs. Kings) saw Bulldogs return to a full complement of players and the Kings down one of their key offensive assets (Mike Iacovone). Period one had the Bulldogs open the scoring (Jerry Mariano / unassisted) just over 2 minutes into the frame but the Kings answered just 30 seconds later (David Donnelly / unassisted) and the frame ended notched at one. Period two had both sides playing pretty tight until Bulldogs Franco Paonessa took a pass from Jerry Mariano and found the top corner past Kings keeper Leo Xu making it 2-1 B-Dogs. The third started with a Bulldogs flurry as they popped in two quick ones (Franco Paonessa from Mariano & Hines then Meghan Hines from Christine Pacheco) and the score read 4-1. It came down to the last two minutes when the Kings tried to mount a comeback, Isaac Vescio (unassisted) at the 13:00 minute mark and then David Donnelly (unassisted) at the 14:00 minute mark brought the Kings within one but they couldn’t get any closer. Final 4-3 Bulldogs over Kings.

On January 23rd 2016, the Mustangs take on the Wolves; the Saints take on the Bulldogs and the Kings take on the Lake Raiders at Sunnyview Public School. Come watch the TPWHL next Saturday from 12:30 to 3:30 PM.For
