The Mustangs went into this Saturday’s game on a 5 game point streak that saw them taking at least 1 point in each of their last 5 decisions.

Nicole Neeson opened the scoring at 3:25 of the first period for the Mustangs, her 17th goal of the season assisted by Roberto Monteiro.

The Saints wouldn’t answer back until 2:11 of the second period on Matthew Cockburn’s 3rd goal of the season, assisted by Brandy Edwards. They would then add to their point total with a goal from Brandy Edwards to take their first lead of the game 2 – 1.

The Saints would add another two goals from Brandy Edwards in the third period to extend the lead with assists by Isha Joshi, Don, and Matthew Cockburn. It wasn’t until 14:56 that the Mustangs would attempt a comeback on a goal from Mike Iacovone, assisted by Nicole Neeson and Istok. Unfortunately that was as close as the Mustangs could get in their attempt at a comeback and they dropped the decision to the Saints with a final score of 4-2.
