Opening Your Doors Including People with Disabilities in Your Faith Community

We invite you and members of your community to join us on September 8, 2018, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM for an official Pathways to Parliament of World Religions 2018 Pre-Parliament Event at OCAD University: Opening your Doors: Including People with Disabilities in Your Faith Community

This accessible, multi-faith seminar will help your faith community become leaders in inclusion. Our seminar goes beyond ramps and handrails and provides creative thinking on how to enable people with different needs to participate fully in rituals, worship and faith community activities. As a participant, you will get information and training to get started on making your community even more welcoming for people with different needs.

Registration is FREE and space is limited. Please register today in order to secure your place for your community members. The event includes:

  • Guide for Accessible Congregations
  • Flash drive with workshop presentation to share with your community
  • Inclusion on the Our Doors are Open website as participating communities
  • Digital resources
  • Accessibility checklist
  • The inclusion of your Congregation in Accessibility Cloud
  • Lunch and Refreshments
  • Certification
